Raz Zimmt

Raz Zimmt (Ph.D), a research fellow at the Forum for Regional Thinking, is also a research fellow at the Alliance Center for Iranian Studies at Tel-Aviv University and editor of “Spotlight on Iran” published by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center.

He received his B.A. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Middle Eastern History in 1992. He earned his masters from the Tel-Aviv University in Middle Eastern History (specializing in Iranian modern history) in 2001, and his Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University in Middle Eastern History in 2011. His Dissertation focused on Iranian Policy towards Nasserism and Arab Radicalism, 1954-1967.

Raz is a specialist on political and social developments in Contemporary Iran and has written numerous articles about Iranian internal politics, society, social networks and foreign policy.
